Movie "DRUM"

This is an fantastic movie to see ok...and no it is not your 'stud slave' kinda thingo.....Drum is a magazine reporting cultural activities in South Africa. The Editor is an Englishman, the photographer is German and the reporters are Africans.

And hey as it transpires, they cannot help themselves in using the paper to inform the world about aparthied incidents that are happening more and more frequently and they all start to be more than concerned about their lvies and that of there families....

It is worth watching....highly recommeended.

NSW Public Transportation-Train

I usally use the inner west line but there are so many construction on the rail on weekends and sometimes they do that even on weekdays. It's very inconvenient to use the train during that periods. It means I have to leave home early as usal and it takes so long time to get to the place I want to go. Recently the Railway raise the train fee and I hope more convenient and comfortable service.

NEWTOWN RSL

I went to the club for a chance to win in the raffle. I was not so lucky in the raffle but it gave me the opportunity to see new friendly people and others I have met before. Then I strolled home in the sunshine on Sunday afternoon.

What I did on the weekend.

On the weekend I watched a movie called One night only, I thought this movie was very interesting, it was a true story based on White and Black Amerians. The movie was about a High School that had two seperate School Proms for White Amerians and Black Amerians, even tho they both went to the same school. One student tried to change that because she thought that there only should be one school prom for all and because they were all friends, she wanted to celebrate her finishing year with everyone. The small town that she lived in did not like what she was trying to do because of racism but in the end she got what she wanted and everyone was happy but then two years later the tradiaion went back to the same where the whites had their prom and the blacks had another.

CATCHING UP WITH FRIENDS AT CHURCH

I have't been to church in some time now. I was almost scared to go out of embarrassement but went anyway. I did the right thing and was pleasantly surprised as how good it was to be back again and feel the love of God around me. My pastor and his wife were so happy to see me and felt at home straight away as if I never left in the first place. I want to and need to be close to God for and the kids and for my inner peace. I felt really good to see everyone again and catch up and left with with peace, content and renewed faith.

Gig Gallery: Iranian Textiles

I saw an exhibition of Iranian textiles at the gig gallery on Glebe Point Rd. The woven silk and wool were dyed beautiful shades of red, pink and orange and were incredibly detailed and complicated designs.
